Air Operated Pinch Valves
Air operated pinch valves close and modulate by feeding compressed air into the valve body around a reinforced elastomer sleeve, so the media touches nothing but the sleeve while actuation stays fully pneumatic — full-bore on/off and proportional dosing duty for abrasive slurries, powders and corrosive fluids. The range covers four lines — VMP plastic bodies from 3/8"-2" (10-50 mm), VMC aluminum and stainless bodies from 3/8"-4" (10-100 mm), VF with ANSI or DIN flanged connections, and VT for silo unloading — with sleeve compounds matched to duty (natural rubber for abrasive slurries, EPDM for chemical resistance, NBR for oil-containing media, FDA-compliant materials for hygienic use), exact-percentage flow regulation via air pressure, bubble-tight shut-off and horizontal or vertical installation without performance effect. Selection turns on line size and connection type, sleeve compound against the media, and the compressed-air supply needed to close against line pressure.

| enclosed double acting air pressure | the enclosed-body double-acting pneumatic execution requires 5-6 bar of control air pressure to open and close, in both single-cylinder and twin-cylinder builds |
| double acting cylinder size split | single-cylinder builds: 15 mm to 50 mm, twin-cylinder builds: 65 mm to 250 mm |

| double acting cylinder principle | the valve is pneumatically operated with one or two pneumatic cylinders in a double-acting arrangement |
| fail safe air to open design | normally-closed fail-safe execution: air to open, spring return - air pressure opens the valve and removing the air closes it to the fail-safe position, while the open valve allows full unobstructed flow |
| nc opening pressure by cylinder | single-cylinder builds require 3-4 bar to open; twin-cylinder builds require 5.5-6 bar to open |
| nc max line pressure by size | 15 mm - 32 mm: maximum line pressure 5 bar, 40 mm - 150 mm: maximum line pressure 3 bar, 200 mm: maximum line pressure 2 bar, 250 mm: maximum line pressure 2 bar |

| built in actuator design | the valve body acts as a built-in actuator, eliminating costly hydraulic, pneumatic or electric operators; actuation is accomplished by air or hydraulic pressure placed directly on the elastomer sleeve |
| drop tight closure entrapped solids | the elastomer sleeve is the valve only wetted part, and its rugged flexibility allows the valve to close drop tight around entrapped solids |
| general closure differential rule | in general, 25 psi over line pressure is required for full closure of air actuated pinch valves |

| pneumatic accessory program | solenoid valve, pressure switch, pressure regulator, safety protection device, filter, vacuum assembly, proportional regulating valve |
| oval shell air saving lip | the shells of all flanged pinch valves are flat and oval, ensuring low compressed air consumption and guaranteeing the predetermined lip bending direction for 100% shut-off of the medium flow even when large solid particles cover the inner bushing |
| sleeve sole medium contact | the pinch valve features three main components - sleeve, body and actuator - and the sleeve is the only part in contact with the process medium; the materials of all three components can be selected to suit process conditions |
| dn80 pn10 sample envelope | sample pneumatic build: aluminium alloy body, DN80 (80 mm, 3 inch), PN10 rating, RF flanged ends, temperature range -35°C to +130°C, operated on compressed air or fluid |
| reopen on exhaust elasticity | closing relies on compressed air or fluid injected directly into the valve body with a minimum differential pressure of 2 bar, forcing the reinforced rubber sleeve to collapse inward into the same elliptical lip shape; when the air pressure is exhausted the sleeve natural elasticity pops it back open to a full-bore circular state |
| body material and diameter options | body material options: aluminium alloy or stainless steel; nominal diameter DN40-DN300 |
