Four-Way Plug Valves
Four-way plug valves turn a multiple-port plug through 90° to divert flow between four pipe connections in one valve — throttling and diverting service that would otherwise need a fittings cluster of tee valves. The range covers 3 to 16 inch sizes at 125 psi CWP with temperatures up to 400°F, in single or double tapered plug styles arranged into a variety of flow combinations, resilient-seated plugs for dead-tight shutoff with lever or double-handwheel actuators, all-metal plugs for high-temperature duties that do not require dead-tight shutoff, and cast iron, aluminum, carbon steel or 316 stainless steel bodies with higher alloys on application. Selection turns on the port arrangement against the diverting pattern and the seat material against shutoff and temperature duty.
